“Second time hiring Aaron and his crew and they were superb. I had a 26' ABF U-Pack literally packed front-to-back, top-to-ceiling, with everything stuffed in between. It was quite the unpack, but they hustled through it in less time than I thought it would take. They were courteous, professional, reasonably priced (well below some of their competitors), and I would not hesitate to hire them again. They worked hard and were worth every penny.”
Do you offer labor only, or just full moves?
Both. Rent your own U-Haul, Penske, POD, or ABF trailer and we bring the crew to load or unload it by the hour, or book our truck and crew for the whole move. Labor-only is a big part of what we do.
How much will it cost?
Labor-only runs $100/hr for two movers and $140/hr for three, with a two-hour minimum. A full move with our truck is quoted flat. You hear the number up front, and there are no hidden fees.
Can you load my rental truck so it survives a long drive?
That is our specialty. We stack it heavy and low, strap it in tiers, and pack it tight so nothing shifts. Rented too small a truck? We are experts at fitting more into less.
Is there a minimum?
Labor-only jobs have a two-hour minimum. After that we bill by the actual time, rounded fairly, so you are not paying for a whole day you did not use.
Can you handle same-day or last-minute bookings?
Whenever we can. A lot of our calls are folks whose help fell through or who booked the wrong day. Reach Aaron and he will let you know the same day if it fits.
Do you carry things up to a second- or third-floor apartment?
Every week. Campus walk-ups and second-floor apartments are the norm here, and we bring the dollies, straps, and blankets to get it up the stairs safely.
Do you handle pianos, gun safes, and heavy exercise equipment?
Absolutely, the heavy and awkward stuff is routine, and we bring the boards, dollies, and straps, all priced fair up front.
How far ahead should I book?
Midweek dates tend to free up inside a few days. Weekends, month-end, and the August and May campus move rushes book up quickly, so reach out early.
What areas do you cover?
Lexington and all of Fayette County, plus Nicholasville, Georgetown, Richmond, Versailles, Winchester, Frankfort, and the rest of the central Kentucky Bluegrass. We load long-haul trailers too.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Up and Coming is a licensed and insured Lexington company, and we treat your things and the building like our own on every job.
